With so many artists emerging from what seems like nowhere, there has always been a search for originality within music. Many artists end up sounding much like another artist, but every once in a great while, an artist comes along that has some kind of originality. This is a rare treat, indeed, and it something music needs more of.

Enter Vicky Beeching. Combining the singer/songwriter feel of Bethany Dillon with the emerging soft rock of what Adrienne (Liesching) Camp would strive for if she had gone solo from her band The Benjamin Gate, Vicky gives new sight and sound to the worship/soft rock genre. On her debut album, Yesterday, Today, and Forever, Vicky shows her vocal talents, and she has that slight accent in her voice that gives her that Adrienne Camp sound. Throughout the album's eleven tracks, there is a significant sense of worship present the entire time.

One song that really makes the album is the title track, which is possibly one of the best songs on the record. "Yesterday, Today, & Forever" talks about how God is with us all the time, and will be with us until the end of the age. Other songs that keep the pace going throughout the album include "Call To Worship," the guitar-laced "Nothing Is Impossible, which gives hope that we can do anything with the help of God, and the powerful "Turn Your Eyes," which gives the album a satisfying ending, with Vicky's slowed interpretation of this old favorite.

In a world full of songwriters trying to push their music to the next level, Vicky Beeching proves that she has potential to stay up and coming with the likes of Bethany Dillon. She shows that she has her own outlook on things, and that she has originality. Yesterday, Today, & Forever may not be the best record this Winter, but it's definitely worth a look.
