KB impressed many with his 2012 debut record, Weight & Glory. Fans are waiting for his next LP, but in the meantime have been given the 100 EP. The Florida native rapper has dished out six fresh tracks for his fans to enjoy. Nothing the EP offers really reaches the level of his prior work, but it's always nice to have some new music from a solid artist.

"Give My All" opens the EP somewhat awkwardly. The song starts very slowly with some auto-tune on the vocals. From there, it goes into a half-spoken word/half-rapped verse before KB gets "ignorant" - his words, not mine. KB throws down a solid verse that doesn't match the rest of the song before going back to the original sound. The top track has to be the Andy Mineo-featured title track. From start to finish, this one impresses. Former Reach artist Derek Minor then joins up for "Undefeated." The song comes from the perspective of God and gives a powerful message of His power. "Kamikaze" slows things up a bit and features some Rihanna-style vocals, courtesy of Prisca. "Doubts" is even slower, and while its honest lyricism is great, the overall sound is a bit uninteresting. "Crazy" is the finale and starts out as a regular hip-hop track in the verse, but shortly turns into a reggae anthem in the chorus. The contrasting musical styles, coupled with an odd transition, give it a disjointed feel similar to "Give it All."

While it's great to see KB back in the mix, it's also a bit disappointing to see him not reach his full potential. "100" and "Undefeated" offer some enjoyment, with "Kamikaze" also being a decent track, but the other half of the EP may leave you scratching your head. There are a couple of tracks worth grabbing, but more than anything, this EP has me wondering what KB may have in store for his next full-length record. Hopefully it's more Weight & Glory and less 100 EP.
