Hyper Static Union
Entropy Automatic

Ah, yes. The very unique funkadelic rock band, something you don't see too much regarding the Christian Market. Hyper Static Union broke out in 2006 with their radio hit "Praying For Sunny Days." This album, titled Entropy Automatic, is slightly more unpolished in terms of recording, but musically and lyrically is the same sound reminescent of Stevie Wonder.

The biggest highlight of the record is probably the opening track, strategically placed near the beginning, "Going On Up." This song is more of the hard side displayed by HSU. They went the extra mile displaying a great vocal arrangement, slightly screaming the chorus before echoing the next verse.

To conclude, Hyper Static is a band that cannot be fully judged to their caliber before seeing them live. They display an excellent crowd-pleasing show, which is why Mac Powell of Third Day probably recognized the band's potential.
