Lyrics:
I see you’re digging yourself a hole If you would open up your eyes You would see your life is being controlled By the deceit and all it’s lies And I don’t have to tell you You know this is all wrong And I know you feel it, it shows You’re not where you belong Chorus: Come on sister Come back home You know you’ve been running For far too long I know you feel you’re in this alone That you’ve got no one on your side Well you would know that we’ve erased your every wrong But you’ve let affliction strike you blind And I don’t have to tell you You know this is all wrong And I know you feel it, it shows You’re not where you belong Chorus: Come on sister Come back home You know you’ve been running For far too long I know how bad you must hurt I wish there was something I could do If you’ll just say the words I’m listening for I will come get you Chorus: Come on sister Come back home You know you’ve been running For far too long

Behind the Song: "A large majority of girls, at some point in their life, find themselves in an unhealthy or simply bad relationship. Sometimes, because of the influence of the guy in the relationship, there is even a change in who she is. There are manipulative words and lies that somehow manage to contort her character. This eventually can drag her away from her close friends, family, and even some of her own personal standards of living. After that, feelings of affliction, blame, and loneliness ensue. In these kinds of situations you can't just go to where she is, grab her, bring her back home, and think her eyes will magically be opened to the truth. All that can be done is to keep speaking positively to her and offering comfort while patiently waiting for her to come back to you for help. This song is composed of my words to my own younger sister. She was going through this very situation and it had left our family in shambles. I knew it wasn't her to blame for it, but I also knew that she was blaming herself. I could see how she felt, but could also see the walls she was building to keep us from knowing it. This was my attempt to show her my sentiment and plea for her to come back home. Thankfully she did. (I specifically used the word sister in the chorus to keep it very personal to me, but at the same time make it more definitive and impactful for any listener who might relate)" – Jason Wilkes (High Flight Society)
