MercyMe Garners 3rd American Music Award Nomination
for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist

October 14, 2010…Nashville, TN…Multi-platinum selling band MercyMe garners their third American Music Award nomination for Favorite Artist in Contemporary Inspirational Category. Previously winning the title in 2004, MercyMe is one of three nominees in the genre. Produced by dick clark productions, the live broadcast will take place at the NOKIA Theater L.A. on Sunday, November 21 at 8pm (EST/PST) on ABC.
For the fourth year, winners will be determined by online voting at the official Coca-Cola voting location www.amavote.com as well as ama.abc.com. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Soundtracks and Contemporary Inspirational.
