The first studio album in three years from Alternative Pop/Rock band Family Force 5, Time Stands Still, releases today from Word Entertainment and immediately shoots to No. 1 on the Christian & Gospel Top Albums and No. 8 on the Overall Albums iTunes® sales charts amidst wide acclaim. Celebrating the launch of the new album with a high-energy, pre-street week performance at Creation Northwest (Aug. 2) and closing this week with a main stage performance at Rock The Desert in Midland, TX (Aug. 9), Family Force 5 also make numerous promotional appearances throughout the week as the new recording is labeled "album of the year," "raw, Brash and fun," "crazy, but awesome," "gritty, modern, creative, exciting" and more by critics who suggest "blasting this album with your windows down."

After a day of promotion in San Francisco on Monday, which included a visit with their friends at the Rhapsody offices, today Family Force 5 celebrates the release of Time Stands Still with an exclusive, one-hour live streaming event from YouTube Space LA beginning at 3:00 pm PDT/6:00 pm EDT (go to www.FamilyForce5.com for more details) followed by an Air1 Radio Network Facebook chat at 5 pm PDT / 8:00 pm EDT. Tomorrow, the band visits Varsity Pictures / AwesomenessTV in Los Angeles followed by stops at Pandora and the GRAMMY offices in Santa Monica, CA, while completing interviews throughout the week with radio stations and media outlets around the country.

Amidst all the activity, here more on how the critics have been responding to Time Stands Still:

"Get ready to want to blast this album with your windows down… They're raw, they're brash and most of all, they're a lot of fun. But at the same time, the album is probably more melodic than anything they've ever released. 'Let It Be Love,' Time Stands Still's lead single, is a perfect example of this. Not only is it lyrically one of the strongest tracks of their career, but it provides a sharp contrast to the harder sound that they're known for…You might just find yourself listening to the album of the year..." - JesusFreakHideout.com

"Family Force 5's not standing still with its new music…there's no denying Family Force 5 has excelled here with its new found eclectic leanings." - AXS.com

"It's definitely a fun album for everyone, from teenagers to the elderly (at least the cool elderly). If you don't AT LEAST start tapping your foot during one of these songs, then I don't think there's any hope - musically - for you!" - On Stage Magazine

"Featuring new front man Jacob Olds, the album reflects a new season of life and maturation…Family Force 5's new album Time Stands Still brings the party you expect…" - CCM Magazine

"FF5 has always been a fun group to experience…these guys have put out some pretty crazy, but awesome, songs to rock out to. As you first dig into the new album, you see this hasn't changed." - Pulse 99.5

"Family Force 5's Time Stands Still shows a band that IS NOT standing still at all… The sense of playfulness is there, but there is new purpose…Family Force 5 has always danced to their own God-inspired tune…" - Music Times

"FF5 have always been one of the most fun and interesting bands in Christian music, with their addictive rock foundation mixed with infectious dance grooves, it's no wonder they've become one of the most popular bands around… after listening to Time Stands Still it's clear Family Force 5 are only getting stronger and becoming more and more of a powerful force and there may be no stopping them." - Front Row Report

"Sometimes when you hear an album, you just know, and with this release the moment I pressed play, I knew this was going to be amazing!" - Louder Than The Music

"You don't want to miss out on this one…Time Stands Still is easily one of the best albums released so far in 2014." - 365 Days of Inspiring Media

Family Force 5, which has been at the forefront of driving video content throughout its career, released its first music video from Time Stands Still "BZRK (feat. KB)" May 23. Already gathering over 457,000 views and 3,950 likes on YouTube, the video also went berserk on MTV.com, becoming the No. 1 most viewed music video on the site. The song is also a Top 15 Rock hit from the album at Christian radio and continues to gain spins at stations and networks around the country, including Radio U, WJTL (Lancaster, PA) and KRNG (Reno, NV).

Family Force 5's first Christian AC/CHR radio single from Time Stands Still, "Let It Be Love," continues its ascent on the charts as it emphasizes the incredible, life-giving power of grace. Hitting No. 7 this week and climbing at CHR, the song is just five spins away from hitting the Top 5. The song further picks up new adds and increased spins on Air 1, WORQ (Green Bay, WI), KLFF (San Luis Obispo, CA), KADI (Springfield, MO) and KGNZ (Abilene, TX).

Known for electrifying crowds worldwide with its unique blend of dance and rock, Family Force 5 will be taking new music from Time Stands Still, along with fan favorites, on the road with Newsboys and 7eventh Time Down. The 28-city "We Believe Fall Tour" begins Sept. 18 in Memphis (Germantown, TN) and traverses the country before wrapping up Nov. 16 in Youngstown, OH. For the latest tour itinerary, go to www.facebook.com/familyforce5/app_123966167614127.

Produced by Riley Friesen and Seth Mosley, Time Stands Still also features "Sweep The Leg," "Glow In The Dark" and more songs that Family Force 5 member Jacob Olds says "step outside of the box from the way faith-based artists have traditionally sounded and worked."
