From the opening guitar riffs until the final beat of Wake Up, O Sleeper, this is one rock release you do not want to miss from emo stars Cool Hand Luke.
Wake Up, O Sleeper starts out with the "Heroes Will Be Heroes" which starts off with a beautiful instrumental. The next song is a personal favorite, "One Time" tells of the a man having a dream about riding on the shoulder of God and being shown by God that He is so powerful but still cares for the small things. "This is Love" has a melodic alternative rock sound which is rather familiar territory for the guys. "So Shall It Be" is a wonderful praise and worship song that is beautifully executed by the guys. "Two Pianos" is no surprise a piano-driven melody that will totally blow you away with its beautiful melodies.
I have to admit to not being a Cool Hand Luke fan before reviewing this record, but this is a great debut with a well produced mix of wonderful songs. Whether you prefer praise and worship or emo, Wake Up, O Sleeper is well worth a listen.
