Flynn Adam has been extremely busy for the first half of 2009. On top of being a tag team partner with
Pigeon John in “Rootbeer,” releasing an EP for that duo, and touring constantly, Flynn has found time to release three EP’s
himself. This release is a compilation of those previous three releases (sans the remixes and videos), and while it’s short,
it is a lovely collection of work.
The EP begins with “Such A Time,” a solid track filled with funky beats that delivers a message to the listener.
“Dishes” showcases that same production alongside a typical song about a girl, and “Adios” uniquely displays a western
hip-hop feel that somehow blends nicely. The title track brings in some very heavy bass that is perfect for any house
party, and “Feel It Now” shows off Flynn's lyrical talent as he speaks about growing musically and feeling like he needs to
get out of the musical box that he’s been in. “Just Don’t Get It” and “Inside Out” are also nice tracks that easily become
fun listens.
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of EP’s and mostly prefer full length releases, but this is a great addition to almost
any hip-hop collection. The beats are most unusual and Flynn has been around long enough to spit some serious lyrical
content. Despite the short length, I highly recommend this release to anyone who loves musical diversity or is into the
hip-hop scene.
