The Colorside

The Colorside is a Lakeland, Florida-based band whose history begins in 1996. With lineup alterations here and there, a name change, and not to mention a former bassist who has started the band My Own Sky, it looks like the group has found the right lineup.

The Colorside has the indie rock thing pretty down pat, with a hint of that ever hard to find originality. “Slept” leads the way with very impressive guitar and drum licks while “On The Omnibus” brings on a catchy appeal. “Caress The Sky” is a Worship filled Alt-Rock track whereas “Stillborn” ends the LP with a screaming grungy tune and the presence of bagpipes.

The Colorside sound somewhat similar to The Foo Fighters, Sunny Day Real Estate, Superdrag, and occasionally Incubus and with a little more production savvy, the pastels of The Colorside will look even brighter.
