Hawk Nelson Is My Friend

The punk rock quartet known as Hawk Nelson is back after two years of extensive touring and are ready to release their third full-length album, Hawk Nelson Is My Friend. Both previous albums have acclaimed numerous praises and success and only time will tell if Hawk Nelson's newest record proves to be the best yet....

With two solid full length releases under their belt, I'm getting used to the fact that Hawk Nelson is going to be one of those bands that will be labeled "one of the best" when it comes to punk music. While I doubt that they will ever release another album to the caliber of Letter's To the President, they will continue to make great music. Can't wait for this one!

Hawk's debut may have seemed like a "Christian" version of several similar pop/punk band, but it was one of the first times the style was given clean and spiritual lyrics in a tightly performed and fun packaging. Their sophomore release showed an edgier and more mainstream-friendly approach, but the 'little rock foursome that could' is just one of those bands that we can't help but watch closely with each release. And this one seems like a healthy mix of both previous efforts...
