Boy band trio 3for3 is out to prove to the world that they have more to offer than soaring vocals and a typical hip hop and pop style. Members Benji Shuler, Josh Davis, and Spencer Lloyd are also trying to show just how much God means to them in their debut release, simply titled The EP.

The first song, "Keep It 100," is a synth-driven tune that will undoubtedly be a favorite for live performances. With lyrics declaring that nothing can stop the band from living for God, the song is very catchy and encouraging. Slowing things down, the ballad "Out of My Head" asks God to remove all negative thoughts to focus on Him instead. Despite this good message, the song is not particularly memorable. The middle song, appropriately titled "Halfway," is the first single of the EP and is the highlight of the album. With an infectious beat, this song praises God for healing pain and loving unconditionally. It communicates a powerful message about going through struggles knowing that God is always watching and caring.

"What If We" dares listeners to live life to the fullest and show God to the world with every word spoken and every action. A bouncy melody drives the song, and vocals soar throughout. Closing out the EP, "Counterclockwise" has an R&B flavor combined with poppy vocals and rapping. The lyrics describe how important it is to live a different life than the world if one wants to follow God. The bridge encourages listeners to never be afraid to follow God or apologize for choosing to live that way, which is a fitting end to the EP.

3for3 is a band that wants everyone to know that they are not willing to stand on the sidelines, but instead are on fire for God. Though the lyrics are not the deepest and the music does not necessarily stand out from other pop albums, the messages 3for3 presents here go beyond what is normally found in debuts.
