The Newsboys one day decided to put out the Entertaining Angels [Maxi Single], why? Who knows, because I see no point in this album, although it has a couple songs on it you can't get anywhere else. For starters, you get the original "Entertaining Angels" song, and then two remixes of it that don't sound much different. Then you get the revised version of "Shine," from Shine...the Hits, not Going Public. It also comes with a remix of "Not Ashamed," which I believe you cannot get anywhere else and the "Untitled Studio Rough" which they later made into "Truth Be Known (Everybody Gets a Shot)" from Step up to the Microphone.
Is this Newsboys best? Not at all. Should you buy it? If you want two songs that you can't get anywhere else or if you are a collector, yes. I've seen it on Amazon for less than a dollar. If you are not interested in getting the actual album and you just want a song or two, download the mp3. It is probably otherwise not worth trying to order.

In the spring of 1998, Newsboys released this little "maxi single" back before the digital age began, introducing fans to their latest hit single in hopes to create buzz for their first John-James-less album.
While it did the job of a conventional single, the goodies included didn't really amount to much, including two bonus remixes of the chief single that barely differed from each other. It's a cool collector's item for Newsboys fans, but casual fans won't need to take
a second glance.
