Made to Shine, John David Webster's sophmore effort, is all but perfect. The title track starts off the album with a fun and happy feeling. The best two tracks, "Now" and "Miricle," were releaed to radio and got some decent air time. "Now" is, simply put, a prayer from John to God saying that we need Him in our lives. Songs like "Come Alive," "Give Me Love" and "Heavy Load" may sound a bit corny at first, but given a chance, they will likely grow on the listener. "Pick Me Up" is another upbeat song that really is the message of this Made To Shine, "Then a presence comes over me. I leap up in the air and then You pick me up. You pick me up again." Here, John is telling us that when we are down, God will lift us out of whatever we are going through.
All in all, this is a great album from John David Webster. Personally, it took a while for it to grow on me, but it did. Now, Made to Shine is one of my favorite records I own. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and reccomend it to anyone and everyone.
