Atlantic/INO Records rock band Skillet
is revisiting their 2006 record Comatose this fall in the form of a Deluxe Edition.
To be included on the re-release will be a brand new track that was originally intended for Comatose but wasn't finished
in time, five acoustic tracks (only two have been heard previously), new album artwork and some behind-the-scenes video content.
A representative of the band recently wrote...
"As far as the title of the new track it is "Live Free or Let Me Die." It might be shortened to "Live Free." It was written
while John and I were in NY at Atlantic records. The London bombings happened while we were there and John came up with a song idea
that he sang to his A&R rep Andy in his office. By the end of the day Andy had a studio and engineer booked and we were recording the
song within a week. Unfortunately it was too late to get it on the record by the time it got mastered."
The tenative digital only release date is 11/20 which will be through iTunes and Walmart.com.
The release date for the in store version will be 12/26. Mark your calendars!
