(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) – Bema Media/Whiplash Records have announced plans to release MANIC DRIVE's upcoming album, Blue, on August 18th through Provident-Integrity Distribution. This comes on the heels of an announcement that the band has signed a new management deal with Nashville-based Van Alan Productions & Management (After Edmund, The Peasall Sisters, SoundJam 2009).
As one of Canada's most popular Christian bands, MANIC DRIVE earned a record seven GMA Canada Covenant Award nominations this year, including nods for Rock Album of the Year, Rock Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year. But they're not unknown in the states either, thanks in part to their hit single “Blue,” and the accompanying music video which climbed to #2 on Gospel Music Channel's rock video chart.
Manic Drive is currently touring in the USA with StorySide:B on “The Blue Tour” which runs through May. The band will continue to tour throughout the summer, including high profile appearances at several major Christian music festivals.
