(Nashville, Tennessee) -June 5, 2013 -Five time GMA "Female Artist of the Year" winner Natalie Grant continues her consistent high impact presence on Christian radio with the release of her latest Curb single, "Hurricane." Since its May 3rd launch, the single established tracking as the #1 'most added' record across four Billboard Christian and MediaBase charts. Since then, the new single marks Natalie's fastest rising single to date in her storied career. Within hours of its launch, the new single peaked at #1 on the Top Christian Songs Chart on iTunes. "Hurricane" is the lead off single to Grant's highly anticipated new album set to release from Curb in the fourth quarter.
Celebrating her nomination as "Female Artist of The Year" at the KLOVE Fan Awards, Natalie kicked off release week with a moving performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Natalie explains about the new record, "It's been awhile since I've put out new music, and I couldn't be more excited for my new song "Hurricane" to be released. I pray it'll be a reminder that no matter how rough the situation, we are never alone. There's Hope in every storm."
With her husband, Bernie Herms, at the helm of her latest musical production, Natalie Grant has proven to be a triple-threat success as powerhouse vocalist, heart-gripping songwriter and charismatic performer in concert. With the advent of her 2005 breakthrough album, Awaken, being certified gold by RIAA, her chain of success led to GMA Female Vocalist of the Year Awards for four consecutive years (2006-2009) with a return 5th win in 2012. In addition, Grant is among a select number of major Christian artists to have also achieved a formidable foothold with mainstream radio and media. Beyond her artistry, she is an outspoken advocate for victims of human trafficking. In 2005, Natalie founded the organization Abolition International which is committed to providing quality restorative aftercare to trafficking victims both domestically and internationally.
Grant shows no signs of stopping. Already in May, in the wake of the instant connectivity of "Hurricane" with radio and consumers, she has posted among the highest 'engagement' ratio on Facebook among current Christian artists being programmed at radio. Engagement is measured by people liking, sharing and commenting on Facebook posts. Facebook activity of more than 285,000 likes and Twitter tracking of more than 163,000 followers put her solidly in the Top 5 among current contemporary Christian radio artists in the social media universe.
