Christine Glass' CD love and poverty has songs that I really enjoyed lyrically - such songs as "Breath of Life," "Waterfall," "Rise Up," and "And love." These songs really hit my soul.
If I had to put a tag on Christine Glass musically, I would have to say that she's a mixture if the Cranberries and Sarah Masen. She has a really smooth, pretty voice, a true God-given talent, however, after several songs, it started to sound repetitious. Songs I didn't really care for were "Mysterious," "Machine," and "Way Down" becaude of the repetitiveness and her sweet voice that at times seemed out of place.
A definite album highlight, and my personal favorite on this album, was "And Love." The rhythm carried the song. I found it pretty, especially enjoying the snare drum at the end.
love and poverty is not an album I'd rush out and buy, but it's worth looking into.
