WAYNESVILLE, OH — July 18, 2026 — Award-winning traditional country artist Richard Lynch will release his deeply moving new single and official music video, "Wait For Me," on Friday, July 24, through Fence Row/MTS Records. Written by Richard Lynch and John Lee, the poignant ballad tells the story of a son racing to his mother's bedside for one final goodbye, offering listeners an unforgettable reflection on love, gratitude, and the comfort of faith.
Rooted in the timeless storytelling traditions of classic country music, "Wait For Me" unfolds with remarkable tenderness. Rather than focusing solely on loss, the song celebrates a mother's lifetime of quiet sacrifices — the comforting hands that soothed childhood fears, stitched torn clothes, wiped away tears, and shaped generations through unconditional love. As the narrator pleads, "Momma, I'm on my way… hold on, wait for me," the song captures a universal moment that countless families have experienced, transforming heartbreak into hope.
The accompanying official music video expands on the song's emotional narrative with cinematic storytelling that mirrors its heartfelt message. Interweaving present-day scenes of a son visiting his mother's hospital bedside with cherished memories from childhood, the video paints a moving portrait of a life defined by compassion, faith, and family. Rather than dwelling on grief, it offers viewers a message of peace, healing, and the promise of reunion.
