A few years ago, if the term "punk" was used, people would think of hard core music. Wow, how quickly things change. Now, you don't even hear the term "punk" unless "rock" immediately follows. And it follows a lot. No matter where you go, you're sure to hear bands like Good Charlotte, Blink-182, and Simple Plan. And in the Christian market, you have Relient K, MxPx, FM Static. In short, punk rock is huge again.
"Punk" means something totally different than it did a few years ago. And now, one band is trying to bridge the gap between what punk was, and what it is today. Forgotten Arrival brings the screams of old school punk and the punk rock sensibility of today's acts together in grand fashion.
It's nothing too revolutionary, but it's a welcome addition to the ever-growing bunch of punk rockers out there. If you're into the punk rock of today, but want a little old school flavor, check into Forgotten Arrival's Through Your Eyes. It's a great disc not to be passed up.
