Kelly Mack Nashville, Tenn., August 18, 2008 – Phoenix-based singer/songwriter Kelly Mack releases her national debut album, Take Me With You, Oct. 14, 2008, on VSR Music Group and with EMI-CMG Distribution. Kelly's songs and soft, engaging voice have been compared to such musical icons as Sarah McLachlan, Dido and Enya.

Produced by industry veteran Ken Mary (The Beach Boys, Trik Turner, LaRue, Alice Cooper) and mixed by GRAMMY winning mixer/ recording engineer J.R. McNeely (Jeremy Camp, Relient K, Kutless), Take Me With You offers its listener a combination of honest lyrics and ambient, thoughtful pop music.

“An incredibly gifted singer and songwriter, Kelly combines music straight from the heart with a beautiful vocal performance on each track,” says CMSpin. “An honest and touching album, Take Me With You is a work of art that is layered in personal experience far beyond her years.”

Radio stations across the country are also offering their applause for Kelly Mack’s music as her first radio single from Take Me With You, “The Only One,” is gaining momentum nationally.

“Kelly Mack’s ‘The Only One’ is bare and honest with a major league sound, reminiscent of A Fine Frenzy,” says Doug Moore, WFRN-FM (Elkhart, IN) program director. “It’s great to have this sound available to our listeners – it really fills out the musical mainstreaming trend that Bebo Norman, Brandon Heath and others are continuing to accelerate in CCM.”

“‘The Only One’ reminds us of our constant, daily battle of self-discovery and human nature,” says Mack. “God loves our gift of worship. It isn’t just us laying our hearts out before Him, but it’s also a way for God to reveal His own heart toward us. Each of the songs on this album describes something intimate and personal that He has shown me.”

Mack explains, “The themes of most of these songs come directly from the Psalms. They are my interpretations and thoughts of the promises and character of God.”

In addition to the music, Mack also shares in her concerts about her mission to help women break free from the sex trade through the Hand and Cloth ministry that seeks to empower women to new lives through creative enterprise, vocational training and the transforming love of Jesus Christ (www.handandcloth.org). Among its work, Hand and Cloth employs women to create kantha dorokha, a traditional two-sided quilt made from recycled sari material.

“A missionary friend of mine sent me one of the quilts made in Calcutta [India] through the Hand and Cloth ministry as a wedding gift,” recalls Mack. “I loved the story behind it and wanted to help in any way that I could. My involvement now is to purchase the quilts a couple at a time and bring them with me to my concerts. I help sell them and give a little talk about the blankets during the live show.

“The songs on the new album are all my interpretations of God's personality, and a large part of that is loving and encouraging others. So I think that the songs from the album, and worship songs in general are heavily linked to programs and service like Hand and Cloth.”
