NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Embracing with wide-eyed wonder the beauty of creation alongside the simple and sacred moments of everyday life, acclaimed alternative-indie rock band Eauclaire returns with “Heaven on Earth.” Now available on streaming platforms from NCS Records, the evocative new single is currently featured on Spotify's All New Christian & Gospel and Indie Spirit playlists as well as the K-LOVE Fresh Sounds playlist on Apple Music, among other key adds.
"Heaven on Earth" was produced by Colony House’s Scott Mills and written by Eauclaire’s Bryant Urich, Justin Barnett, and Kyle Kicker, along with Emily Hostetler, Bri Ray, Joseph Moore, Sean Stevens, Ashley Hess, and Garon Brett. Inspired by and partially recorded at the Heaven on Earth Festival in Moab, Utah, the aptly titled track began as an unplanned yet earnest expression of gratitude. Reflective verses give way to an expansive chorus capturing joy and awe as Eauclaire proclaims: “I see Your hand in the stars above me/I see Your beauty and I know You love me/Not out in the atmosphere/I found Heaven on earth right here.”
“We spontaneously started writing ‘Heaven on Earth’ at the festival in 2024 and it was amazing how it came to life,” shares Eauclaire’s Bryant Urich. “We were part of a songwriting panel with members of The King Will Come worship collective and as we stared at the iconic Looking Glass Arch, we just decided to write something in that moment.”
Returning to capture vocals for the song’s bridge during last year’s festival was a full-circle moment both for Eauclaire and event attendees. “I remember seeing people with tears in their eyes, just reveling in the beauty of that moment,” recalls group member Kyle Kicker. “Some of them were there at the song’s inception, and now they are getting to participate by singing on the recording in the midst of such a beautiful place.”
“We hope ‘Heaven on Earth’ inspires a slower pace and challenges listeners to look at the beauty in the everyday—to take a breath and realize that Heaven is all around us,” adds Eauclaire’s Justin Barnett. “It can and does exist in the daily moments we share with the people we love the most.”
The "Heaven on Earth" official music video is set for release Friday, March 27 via Eauclaire's YouTube channel.
ABOUT EAUCLAIRE
Formed by college friends Bryant Urich, Kyle Kicker and Justin Barnett in 2010, Eauclaire (pronounced "o-claire") released their acclaimed debut, Océan Bleu, in 2019, followed by 2022’s Timber, the latter of which chronicles a deeply personal season of loss and rediscovery for the band. Eauclaire’s single “Depths” was showcased in the CW and Netflix series All American, and their music has also been featured on MTV, MTV2 and in various international advertising campaigns. Along with a sold-out headlining show in their hometown of Springfield, Missouri, Eauclaire has taken the stage at Analog, one of Nashville’s top intimate venues, and the group has performed twice at the Heaven on Earth Festival. Known for finding the beauty in the everyday, Eauclaire uses visceral landscapes, emotive harmonic textures, and timeless sounds to tell the story of the human condition and challenge listeners to be fully present in their own journey.
