Hey, hey, hey, it's the return of that Christian Punk/Ska band, The Dingees! This time the Dingees are bringing it to you in their third album titled The Crucial Conspiracy with the same sound that has grown on all us fans. Despite the fact that the vocals could use some work, this album was alright.
If you were looking for a good quality mix, I'm afraid you won't find it on this album, sorry! But what The Dingees lack in vocals, they certainly make up for it in witness. Let us all remember the words of Five Iron Frenzy's Quantity is Job 1. I don't know about you, but I've been a Dingees fan for about a year now, my personal favorite will always be the first album, but this album totally kicks that albums' butt when it comes to the measure behind the means. The Dingees aren't ashamed of how they sound or who they are because they know that they are sheltered under the Lord's wings, so who cares how they sound?
The songs: there are 13 tracks on The Crucial Consiracy. Sorry, no hidden tracks that I found. Personal favorites of mine are the first 5 songs because they are all upbeat and happy and that's all the time I can spare when I get up in the morning. I really can't quote anything for you from the album, cause I only do that when I have the lyrics and there weren't any lyrics that went along with this promo CD. None of the tracks are offensive, and the only ones that don't talk about God are the ones that they use to discuss real life problems and situations.
If you are a longstanding fan of The Dingees, then this album is for you. If you're not a fan of The Dingees but you wanna try them out to see what they're like, then go ahead and pick this album up, borrow it from a friend, etc. All in all, if you aren't pleased with the vocals, I am sure you will be pleased with the message. If you can't understand the words then please read along with the lyrics to find out what they are trying to say. I am sure that any believer will find The Crucial Conspiracy uplifting.
