Slow Coming Day is a California based band created in early 2001. After only five months together, the group released it's first and so far only EP, A Part Of Me Died. This album has gained attention from The Militia Group, Cornerstone Festival, and compilations galore from fine labels such as Tooth and Nail and Deep Elm.
It's shocking to consider that it only took Slow Coming Day five months to fashion such a solid release. Lead singer Orion Walsh's nasally vocals and soul-filled lyrics show a lot of promise with the choruses being the best of that assurance. Highlights include the anthemic title track "A Part Of Me Died," the perfectly cocky mosh pit friendly "When Time Stood Still," the harmonious "A Loss Of Innocence," and the amazing guitar work of "This Emotion." This is a glimpse at stardom.
Slow Coming Day has growing to do, but not as much as most or all of the bands who've only been together a year. With the magic these four boys possess while together, the day they speak of will be here before we know it.
