As any Andrew Peterson concert-goer will know, some of his best moments are those that can't be captured on a studio-album, at least not yet. Andrew Peterson has recently released Appendix A: Bootlegs and B-Sides exclusively through his website. A fun record from start to finish, Appendix A is a twenty-four track release, comprised of live songs, classic moments, and demos spanning Peterson's entire career.
From the crowd favorite nacho-cheese inspired "Alien Conspiracy," to the moving live renditions of "Canaan Bound" and "Little Boy Heart Alive," Appendix A has all the songs, or versions of songs, Peterson fans have been wanting.
The rare "Mohawks On the Scaffold," a song which Peterson said he has only performed twice, along with "Catch 22," a song about his brother Pete, anchor the end of this album which clocks in at over just under one and a quarter hours.
What makes Appendix A so unique, is that it truly is a "bootleg" record, in every sense of the word. You have some songs that are studio-quality, and then you have some that sound like they were captured on a tape, and the cool thing is they probably were. A definite must have for anyone who has ever been to an Andrew Peterson show, Appendix A features just enough to make any fan happy, while still leaving room for future appendixes whenever AP feels the time is right.
