Fans of the ever popular pop-punk genre will find that Fanmail is not afraid to express its views on Christianity and real life. Just a warning: If you don't like "certain" secular 'boy' bands then I suggest avoiding track five, "I Want It That Way."
The record itself was put together very well musically. The song that witnessed to me most was "Competition." To me, it talks about someone who thinks they're failing at something but still pushes on no matter the consequences because they know that no matter what, God will be there to show them undying love and compassion. If you're seeking out the meaning for a meaningful relationship check out "Genny." Don't forget to read the lyrics and the scripture verses provided with them. If you want a Christian punk album and if you're looking for one you can listen to straight through without worrying about being put to sleep or being overcome with boredom, then Fanmail is the band for you and Fanmail 2000 is your album.
