Joshua Bingaman is a young male that brings acoustic rock from the San Francisco area. He states influences of Neil Young, Elliot Smith, and Jeremy Egnik of Sunny Day Real-estate. He has done a split EP with Justin Rice; a book of poetry and a recent full length entitled Passing Pleasures.
Whether it be folk, rock, or experimental; Joshua Bingaman does an acoustic version of all of these fairly well. Exceptionally strong produced tracks of Worship-based themes brighten something that, for the most part, seems dull. At times, his heart opens up to lyrics that intertwine with the beautiful sound, but that is rare. This is straightforward acoustic rock as fans of Duncan Sheik, Neil Young, Lisa Loeb, Jewel, or Damien Jurado would possibly like this. With more artistically-filled imaginative lyrics, the pleasures would definitely stick around for Joshua Bingaman.
