Rhythm is a five-piece soul funk alternative Texas based band that began in 1991. They average more than 120 shows a year playing with Erica Badu, Kirk Franklin, Audio Adrenaline, The Newsboys, and Jennifer Knapp to only name a notable few. Reaching For Life is their second release.
Think Salvador meets All Together Separate, and you have Rhythm. What they lack in creative lyrics, they make up for with funky inventive beats of joyous musical melody. "Reaching" and "You & Me" add a nice rock and roll spin to the funk while "To Receive You" pulls out a gorgeous ballad. Fans of Earth, Wind, and Fire and KC and the Sunshine Band should not miss Reaching For Life. Rhythm is Worship music with a little pizzazz.
If you need a lot of Jesus and a little soul-filled Latin alternative funk, you don't have to reach very far with Rhythm's Reaching For Life.
