The Gravity Show
Fabulous, Like You

Album length: 10 Tracks: 34 Minutes, 59 Seconds
Street Date: 2002

The Gravity Show is the new brainchild of mastermind of The Violet Burning, Michael J. Pritzl. Pritzl wrote, produced, and played every instrument on this rock and roll spiritual new wave electronic composition. When you're dealing with Mike, you learn not to expect anything, just to be beautifully surprised by albums such as Fabulous, Like You.

Fabulous, Like You is full of love, loss, heart, soul, ego, and Jesus. Leading things off is the catchy "Rock 'n Roll Star" while "Dreadful" is truly what it's name states compared to every other track. "Fabulous, Like You," the title cut, is in fact fabulous on all cylinders with amazing odd verses and a catchy chorus where "Perfect Day" adds a ballad of much crescendo while "Gone Gone Gone" brings techno laced cock rock that we all know very well with past TVB. "Aching" is an urgent attempt at a man on his last limb, searching, whereas "Eraser" can bring an embrace when things seem abandoned. "Worlds Apart" speaks of someone who has all the rock and roll but is missing the soul while "Halo" is Neil Young if he had succeeded in the 80's with his odd musical alteration. "Goodnight" ends with pop harmonies that will segue way you to the bed after you've listened to the album on repeat all day long. Fans of Coldplay and The Rock and Roll Worship Circus will welcome this fabulous accompaniment.

Mike Pritzl has made an album of more layers than a wedding cake. For fans of The Violet Burning's work and everyone else who likes great music, this is a grand mellow twist that also has its share of rock. The former Vineyard worship leader has gone back to his roots and dug up something very beautiful. Michael J. Pritzl is fabulous, just like his albums.
