Michael Knott
Hearts Of Care

Album length: 11 Tracks: 38 Minutes, 59 Seconds
Street Date: 2002

Michael Knott is one of the greatest musicians you probably have never heard of. And because you don't know who he is, you probably don't know how easily he can change musical styles with the greatest of ease. With his latest effort, Hearts of Care, all Knott needs for a masterful record are guitars, a harmonica, and a violin.

Leading things off is "Detox Radio Station," which is a touching masterpiece on Knott kicking his horrible drinking habit. "Bus Stop" picks up the pace of love while "She Steals This Heart" and the title track "Hearts Of Care" bring truly striking ballads that will induce goose bumps. "And I Love You" comes in with the most beautiful of dirty melodies while "Waiting For Your Turn To Smile" adds something truly amazing, beyond words. "She Comes Comforting" is a Mexicanish track as "Wasting Time" throws a curveball introducing the female vocals of a one Beth Spransy, who also plays double duty with the violin. "Nothing Is Roses" is sad wonderment while "Hammers And Nails" does a little old school bluesy mood of true stripped down worship.

Michael Knott is one of the, if not the, greatest Christian musicians out today; heck, he's even one of the greatest musicians in all of music, period. It's tough to sit someone with the likes of a Mr. Johnny Cash, but Michael Knott definitely deserves to stand proud next to legends of his kind. With Hearts Of Care, Knott bears the soul of a man climbing through a rough time, with listeners following behind every step of the way. Michael Knott continues to crank out miraculous work time and time again, and it's a blessing to have the chance at a glimpse of his heart, in Hearts Of Care.
