In my wanderings around the musical spectrum online, I came upon a band named Copeland. An interesting name no doubt, and well worth a listen, but I was totally unprepared for the pleasant sound that hit my ears. As the first chords of "No One Really Wins" composed themselves around my ears I instantly became calm. In Motion is a mostly pleasant album, including highlight "Kite," which features Aaron Marsh's almost feminine vocals. Reminiscent of an organ grinder in the background, Marsh's soaring voice pleasantly carries the entire track. The disc I received came with a live four song acoustic EP. If this is any indication of Copeland's live sound, I intend to attend the closest concert I can find. Overall, In Motion is a wonderful album that can be appreciated by most, if not all. The only drawback I could find was that you have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. Once you do, however, you will not soon stop.
