Ah, 2001 was a fine year in music. It was the year we saw the debut of phenomenal singer Joy Williams. With over 12 Top 40 Hits, 3 #1 Hits, 3 hit albums and multiple award nominations, it's nice to look back and see where Joy Williams started.
"It's All Good," the album's opener is a California-cool pop track that is reminiscent of Britney Spears. The album goes on to reveal more pop gems later on such as "Up," "No Less," and "Second Nature." The record's strongest tracks are the vibrant dance track "Serious," the worsipful "Touch of Faith," and the soaring "I Believe In You."
Overall, I have to say Joy's self-titled debut is a nice addition to the collection of any pop fan. It's fun, peppy and spunky. One of the best pop debuts out there.
