Almost everyone in the Christian rap world has heard the words "GAWVI Get Em" at some point. Well, now the popular producer/songwriter (known for his stellar work on Trip Lee's Rise and Lecrae's Anomaly, among many others) is dropping his first solo release courtesy of Reach Records. It's a unique move by Reach and I have myself wondered what kind of project it would be. This is a dance-infused joint perfect for the club scene: something with positive themes that is fun to listen to. Each track listed here is very similar to each other and listeners won't really find anything mind-blowing in regards to lyrical content or even the beats. I was expecting a little bit more of the former, so that was a little bit of a letdown. However, none of the tracks on this short sampling have any glaring flaws and are definitely suited for your next house party.
Reach Records fans will not be getting what many may have expected (this is not a Lecrae or Trip Lee album), but I can see people blasting Lost In Hue while driving with the top down all summer long.
