Out of Southern California comes the rock/ pop/ emo of Radium. They state influences of Sunny Day Realestate, Fold Zandura, and the Foo Fighters and have played with the likes of Bleach, Fold Zandura, Switchfoot, Mortal, Starflyer 59, Cush, and many others. They were approached by Tim Taber (formerly of Prayer Chain), head of Floodgate Records but nothing came about and now are in talks with another major Christian label. Thus Far is their latest independent work of art.
Rising riffs and lead vocalist Joey Macentyre's voice (no, not from the New Kid On The Block), are intriguingly reminiscent to something out of Britain which is surprising with their So. Cal heritage. Mellow catchiness and spacey anthems of hope take you for an emotional ride where Luna Halo, Delirious, and Fono fans will love this fresh new blend of European rock. This is one catchy well-rounded record.
Thus Far is a big stepping-stone in the right direction for stardom. What Radium lacks in experience and production, I see coming more sooner than later. Pick up Thus Far now to take the ride along with Radium on their progression to fame.
