Every journey has a beginning. VxV was my first foray into a genre of music I didn't fully understand, both musically and spiritually. Wolves at the Gate served to change my entire perspective on an oft-misunderstood community. Of course, metal has its fair share of angst, desperation, and frustration, but through VxV, I finally understood that these emotions were shared by a community of humble people who loved God and loved each other more than even the music they held so dear.
