News has recently been circulating about a possible return of Arkansas based alternative rock band Jonah33 (which have since been confirmed as true). Frontman Vince Lichlyter just recently dropped a solo EP, and this project, The Love Amendment, is from the musical team of Vince and his wife Amber. I have seen a couple of other lead singers do this type of side project as well (The Classic Crime and House of Heroes, for example) and they often make some really good music.
The first of the five tracks on the duo's debut EP is "All Around," a great example of exactly what the remaining songs will be like: a worship album filled with solid praise music. Vince's raspy vocals blend nicely with Amber's soft tones and they sing together about our amazing God. The quick sampling touches on the need for our Savior to fill our days, God's unending love for His people, and even a simple track of gratitude. If you're in the mood for some enjoyable worship stuff, this may be right up your alley. But if you're looking for a super emotional, spine tingling worship album, this may not be your cup of tea.
