Is this just where you want to be
Stuck in between each failing dream
Where all you’ve known is dead and gone
Where what was right now feels so wrong?
Is this the place where you find yourself?
(Oh) The best of times can’t hide your weakness
The emptiness only increases
With hope deferred the heart has grown sick
What can you do to rise above it? See how your back begins to break
Beneath the weight of tested faith
Will broken pieces fall in line…
Or will distraction always blind?
Is this the place where you find yourself?
Is this the place where you loose yourself?
(Oh) The best of times can’t hide your weakness
The emptiness only increases
With hope deferred the heart has grown sick
What can you do to rise above it?
And will relief yet flow through methods less than ordinary - Through feats to persevere, to serve, or to surrender fully?
And will new life now spring from ashes ever clothed in memory? And if the choice is yours to make, then please decided it quickly
(Oh) The best of times can’t hide your weakness
The emptiness only increases
With hope deferred the heart has grown sick
When will we fight and rise above it?
