This grief is begging for a life to take
May my prayers keep you with me safe
Born to nurture with a barren body
Filling others with an empty cup

Lord, heal us of this cycle of sadness
Paralyzed by the tears on our faces
We need endurance for each passing day
Weighed down, when it’s too hard to pray, we

Cry for a joy not known
A seed not sown
We trust, but make us stronger
Hold on a little longer

As days turn to months and months turn to years
Our God will wipe away our tears
A miracle in the distance so far away

Empty womb
Or empty tomb
We’ll wait for You
In every room

As we cry for a joy not known
A seed not sown
We trust, but make us stronger
Hold on a little longer

Empty womb, empty tomb
We give You praise in every room

Run for the promise of an empty tomb while we grieve with an empty room
