VERSE 1
Like a fire can warm the winter home
Or burn it to the ground
Like the wind can cool the summer day
Or turn it upside down
Like the rain can bring the Earth to life
Or drown it with a flood
Our God, he isn’t safe, but he is good

VERSE 2
Who has saved us from the enemy
With the power of his hand
Who has conquered sin
And soon will banish darkness from this land
Who has swallowed death in victory
And nailed it to his cross
Our God, he isn’t safe, but he is good

CHORUS
Engrave upon our hearts the gravity of love
Descended from your glory
Oh you left your throne above
The wrath of justice, the cost of grace
The only sinless one would come and take our sinful place

VERSE 3
Who alone commands eternity In the wisdom of his plan
Who alone has been eternally No beginning and no end
Who alone has stepped down into time
And bought us with his blood
Our God he isn't safe, but he is good
