Verse 1
(John 1:23 God's Word Translation, liberties taken)
I am the one
crying in the desert
'Make Straight
the way of the Lord'

(Jeremiah 14:1 NKJV)
I am the one
crying for you

Chorus
(Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV out of order)
Come to Me
all who labor
I will give you rest
My yoke is easy
My burden, light
You'll find rest
for your souls
x2

Verse 2
(John 1:23 God's Word Translation, liberties taken)
I am the one
crying in the desert
'Make Straight
the way of the Lord'

(Jeremiah 14:1 NKJV)
I am the one
crying for you

Chorus
(Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV out of order)
Come to Me
all who labor
I will give you rest
My yoke is easy
My burden, light
You'll find rest
for your souls
x2

Verse 3/Outtro
(Hosea 10:13 NKJV)
You have plowed wickedness
You have reaped iniquity
You have eaten the fruit of lies
Because you trusted in your own way
