though with doubt I wrestle, I will fear no harm.
With Christ in the vessel, I can face the storm.
Though dark be my way, he is my guide,
‘Tis mine to obey, and his to provide;

Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail,
the word he has spoken will surely prevail.
He breathes o’er my sorrow, he holds me in his sight
and through the night, he bids me on, he calls me home
So I press on to that place
where faith unshaken dwells.

and out of the shadows
Though dark be my way, you are my guide,
so I will obey, and trust you will provide

At time I confess I’m a child in the night,
haunted by shadows that oppress on every side

so through the night, your guiding light will lead me home

So I will not retreat, Christ is my reward; this darkness will flee,
this battle is the Lord’s
Though painful at present, It will cease before long,
And then O how pleasant The conqueror’s song!

Death has been broken, its power has failed,
The morn is awoken and Christ has prevailed.
He entered the darkness and broke through the night
and with his light he bids us on, he leads us home
