Prelude EP cover
02. Travesty
Album: Prelude EP
Artist: Theody

Despite my best attempt at virtue, I'm a mere mockery
The guilt I bear condemns mercilessly
And I know that I'm flawed, but can You salvage me?

Don't give up
Don't give up on me just yet
Hear my heart's apologetic plea
Don't give up
Don't give up on me not yet
Tell me You'll redeem this travesty

Incarcerated by my thoughts, stuck on repeat
I need to break this before it breaks me
Can a metamorphosis occur in me?

My greed will be the death of me
The sacred brings me to my knees
I've been weighed and I am found wanting
Misguided, guilty though I be
I beg You, don't give up on me
In Your wrath, remember mercy
