Beyond What I See cover
04. Heaven Forbid
Album: Beyond What I See
Artist: According To John

Heaven forbid
That I refuse the pain and miss the grace
That you have for me in this place...
Heaven forbid
That my life be lived for passing things
And lives I touch remain the same...

Heaven forbid
That I miss the truth
Heaven forbid
That I waste my youth
Do not permit the enemy
To have the victory
Over me
Heaven forbid

Heaven forbid
That I be a study of showmanship
And not become your workmanship...

Heaven forbid
That I carelessly sow convenient seeds
And convince myself you’re using me...
When I begin to wander away
I beg you, Lord, compel me to stay
