Ad Astra Per Aspera cover
04. The Golden State
Album: Ad Astra Per Aspera
Artist: Abandon Kansas

California is burning like a cigarette
Let me burn with you

I can tell your heart is a forest
And it hasnʼt rained here in years
Then I came around and the whole place caught on fire
And I left you here

California is burning like a cigarette; flick the ash into the sea
California is burning, the whole stateʼs gonna fall in
If you donʼt stop fallin for me

The sky is dark tonight in this town
All the stars are in bed or on the ground
The whole world watching, to see what they will do
They ignored all the warnings, but so did you

California is burning like a cigarette; flick the ash into the sea
California is burning, the whole stateʼs gonna fall in
If you donʼt stop fallin for me

They live in fear, cause the whole land is plastic
Youʼll drown in tears, but Iʼm already passed it

California is burning, the whole stateʼs gonna fall in
If you donʼt stop fallin for me
California
If you donʼt stop fallin
If you donʼt stop fallin
If you donʼt stop fallin for me

I will burn with you when I return you
