Lay Your Weapons Down cover
06. Good Intentions, Bad Directions
Album: Lay Your Weapons Down
Artist: Kiros

My insurgent heart is asking
Have we dulled the lion’s teeth
Removed the claws
All in the name of peace

Are we marching to our enemy's drum
Do we even know what we need rescue from
With our defenses down

We've been sold out
By our good intentions
We're just dreamers
Who've lost direction
We're no better than
We're no better than them
We're no better than
We're no better than them

The thin lines that divide us
The sinner from the saint
Leaves me no pride
When it all comes down to grace

Right and wrong are both missing the mark
We've found the light but stumble in the dark
With our defenses down

We cannot earn this love
And it's not ours to sell
