Rock Of Offense cover
05. Hard Times
Album: Rock Of Offense
Artist: First Strike

Times are bad
The world is mad
Who can save me from falling

There’s nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
From the feelings
Deep inside me

Out in the streets
The shadows creep
And the children cry
As the heavens weep

Seems to worry me more
Each time I walk out the door
Will I be returning home

Hard times
In a world of sin
Hard times
Seems like we just can’t win
Hard times
At the end of our rope
Hard times
And there’s only one hope

I tell myself
That just can’t be
Can’t be reality
But I’m wise now
I’m no fool

No court
No King or queen
Can set us free
From this prophecy
So close at hand

Hard times
In a world of sin
Hard times
Seems like we just can’t win
Hard times
At the end of our rope
Hard times
And there’s only one hope

Waiting for the day unknown
When everything man has known
Will be revealed
To everyone

There’s no time left to waste
The way we go decides our fate
So hold on fast
To the truth of old
