The Joy cover
01. The Joy
Album: The Joy
Artist: The Neverclaim

(verse 1)
I was born into a broken world
I’ve had ups and downs
And crazy things have occur

(pre)
Then suddenly I knew ya
It felt like` hallelujah
When I heard you say

(chorus)
Welcome to the joy
The love that never ends
Where the grace of God renews again and again

(verse 2)
I was lost but now I found
That Happiness ain’t joy
just ask around

(pre 2)
It’s nothing circumstantial
It’s something supernatural
I cannot contain

(bridge)
The Joy of the Lord is my strength
Nothing can take that away
The Joy of the Lord is my strength
Hallelujah

Ian Eskelin, Jeremiah Carlson

Behind the Song:
The Joy of the Lord isn’t just one of many strengths, but “our strength.” When happiness fades, His joy is the only thing in this world that we can rely on in every season of life. It is accepting the reality that no matter what we face, in God’s presence there is true joy. It is receiving the reality that even though we sin, God still delights in us and we bring Him great joy. When we understand this, we can’t help but be filled with authentic joy.
