All Gas. No Brake. cover
11. Finish Last
Album: All Gas. No Brake.
Artist: Stellar Kart

People change and
Plans get changed and
Everything changes but You
Everybody moves around and
Everything gets pushed around
But You
You always stay the same, stay the same

I want to finish last
Last in the world’s eyes
No matter what I do
I will be first in Your eyes

I am running in this race and
I am pressing onward
Toward the finish line
You have promised me
A better life
Far beyond this world
Far beyond this place in time

Words and Music by Stellar Kart

Behind the Song:
"This title originates from the Bible verse that says “the last shall be first.” It communicates our desire to be last on earth so that we may be first in heaven." - Adam Agee (Stellar Kart)
