Sunday! cover
10. New Creation
Album: Sunday!
Artist: Tree63

Free – I am free
It’s no longer I who live but Christ in
Me – I am free
Free to be whatever God made me to
Be – I can be
Everything that God intended me to
Be – I am free
Bought by Holy Blood, I’ve been set free now
Oh – oh

The old has gone, the new has come
And I am a new creation

Alive – I’m alive
It’s no longer I who live but Christ in
Me – I am free
Free to be whatever God made me to
Be – I can be
Everything that God intended me to
Be – I am free
Bought by Holy Blood, I’ve been set free now
Oh – oh

The old has gone…

I am no longer my own
I am no longer my own

Behind the Song:
"I would call this a “theology” song based on Romans 7-8. Paul describes believers as “new creations in Christ Jesus,” “the old has gone, the new has come.” This has all been sermonized, lectured, written about and sung for centuries, but it’s a truth that should cause us to celebrate much more than we do. It’s also not mere theology for me, but a personal experience of God that I still can’t get over." - John Ellis (Tree 63)
