NASHVILLE, TN….December 5, 2008……EMI Christian Music Group is proud to congratulate several of their label group artists for their recent GRAMMY® nominations. The 52st Annual GRAMMY® Awards will air on CBS, Sunday, February 8th from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Sparrow Record’s 10-million selling, award winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman received his 13th and 14th nominations this year, with nods in both the Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album Category for his latest effort, THIS MOMENT, as well as his collaboration with MercyMe on their song “You Reign,” nominated for Best Gospel Song.

In 2007 reigning three-time Gospel Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year Chris Tomlin received his first and second GRAMMY nominations Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album with his RIAA Gold-certified project SEE THE MORNING and Best Gospel Performance for “Made to Worship,” (also from See The Morning). Therefore, 2008 marks Tomlin’s 3rd nomination with his latest best-seller, HELLO LOVE, up for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.

The Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album category gives the Gospel Music Associations 2007 Artist of the Year and ForeFront Record’s recording artist, TobyMac, his fifth consecutive GRAMMY® nomination as a solo act for his newest project, ALIVE & TRANSPORTED, his CD+DVD combo released earlier this summer. TobyMac won four GRAMMY® Awards as a member of dcTalk.

Lastly, Sparrow Record’s Modern Rock band Sanctus Real has received their first ever Grammy® nomination for their project WE NEED EACH OTHER, nominated for Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album.
