April 5, 2010…Nashville, TN…Sponsored by Anchor Artists Agency, with hearts to serve, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Joy Whitlock ventures out on "Traveling Troubadours- More Than A Show" a tour dedicated to reach the lost. Whitlock will be traveling beside sixth season’s American Idol contestant Sean Michel and new husband and wife duo Carolina Story as they take their ministry to churches, homeless shelters, hospitals and more across the country. The tour kicks off in Batesville, AR on April 7 and will carry through the spring drawing to a close in Texarkana, TX on May 3.
Looking at it from the perspective of “how would Jesus Tour?” the “musicianaires” are approaching this tour as a chance to really show God’s love with their words and actions. With a storyteller-like feel, the artists will be speaking into the stories of the songs and connecting with those who are listening.
"The Traveling Troubadours is a chance to do something unheard of. It is a chance to give more than just a performance,” says Whitlock. “We are all excited to be a part of these beginnings."
Easily recognized by his long hair and beard, Sean Michel made a lasting impression with his soulful vocal style on season six of the Fox Network’s hit television show American Idol. Since American Idol, Michel continues to gain a growing following worldwide.
Also joining Michel and Whitlock is new duo Carolina Story. With a mission to love, husband and wife Emily and Ben Roberts continue on their musical journey, doing all things in hopes that all who hear their music are inspired. They will be singing songs off their latest release “When The River Met The Sea.”
